If you already maintain a one or more Facebook Pages with Static FBML, this is for you.  Currently it is in the 760px width but it will be shrink to 520px.  Pretty Slim?  I agreed.  Boxes tab will be removed as well.   Apparently Static FBML and Facebook Flash is still in so this is a plus for many designer.

Hand Tech Studio was about to show our new Facebook Page design until we got this notice.  We will fix the issues and reveal it after Facebook make the changes^. Most of our projects that we do for the client are custom WordPress theme where we design the theme/web design and integrate with the premade content management system (CMS).

If you already have been using WordPress for quite some times, here are the new/updated features on WordPress:
-  New Default Theme
-  Merge of WordPress MU and WordPress
-  Widget + API that will allow you to implement custom background, header, short links, post types, etc…

It’s so easy to upgrade your WordPress to WordPress 3.0!

1. Just log-in your admin side:  http://www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/
2. Click on Tools
3. Click on Upgrade
4. Let it do the magic!
5. Then you might want to log out.

If you are concern about losing your data, it is strongly advice that you back up your data.  That’s easy too!

Follow these steps:

1. Log in the Admin side if you are not there already
2. Click on Tools (On the Left Menu Bar)
3. Click on Export
4. Click on Download Export File
5. Save it to your desktop

After you complete the upgrade, check all of your website to make sure your data didn’t disappear.  If so, start clean or contact us to help you out.

If you have hired us recently or from the past , it is probably already taken care or will be taken care of as this is part of the Hand Tech Studio 6 month maintenance contract.  You will be getting an email from us about the upgrade before and after and it will be done overnight to avoid interruption with your business during the day.

Here is our basic motion graphics for Hand Tech Studio.  We used Apple Motion to design this motion graphics and it turn out well.  We are planning to expand our motion graphics overtime during summer with our production with the show series called “CoasterCast” on Theme Park Channel that we are excited to be a part of.  Stay tuned for more update!

I personally like Google Chrome, I can’t say that it is the best since I do like FireFox as well to what they offer that Google Chrome can’t offer.   The thing that I like about Google Chrome is the ability to load the website FAST.  I just got my MacBook Pro with Intel Core i7 just last week and love it!  I currently still own my Sony Viao laptop with 512 MB Ram which was a bad move for me since I was pretty much getting into this field as a new media designer when I got it a few years ago.  On the PC when open FireFox, IE, or another browsers expect for Google Chrome, it took forever to load up.  With Google Chrome, while it take a minute to load up on PC.  It was much faster than other browsers when I was dealing with my PC.

Welcome to the new Hand Tech Studio Blog!  It was time to redesign the website since we have more free time and more requests coming in for us to do a projects for them.   Expect a lot of randomness about the latest’s mediums that is being used today and see what’s work and what’s doesn’t.  We are here to give you a hand and we hope to get a high-five back with your success of your business or whatever purpose you’re trying to served.
