WordPress 3.0 has been released!  It’s time for an upgrade!

Most of our projects that we do for the client are custom WordPress theme where we design the theme/web design and integrate with the premade content management system (CMS).

If you already have been using WordPress for quite some times, here are the new/updated features on WordPress:
-  New Default Theme
-  Merge of WordPress MU and WordPress
-  Widget + API that will allow you to implement custom background, header, short links, post types, etc…

It’s so easy to upgrade your WordPress to WordPress 3.0!

1. Just log-in your admin side:  http://www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/
2. Click on Tools
3. Click on Upgrade
4. Let it do the magic!
5. Then you might want to log out.

If you are concern about losing your data, it is strongly advice that you back up your data.  That’s easy too!

Follow these steps:

1. Log in the Admin side if you are not there already
2. Click on Tools (On the Left Menu Bar)
3. Click on Export
4. Click on Download Export File
5. Save it to your desktop

After you complete the upgrade, check all of your website to make sure your data didn’t disappear.  If so, start clean or contact us to help you out.

If you have hired us recently or from the past , it is probably already taken care or will be taken care of as this is part of the Hand Tech Studio 6 month maintenance contract.  You will be getting an email from us about the upgrade before and after and it will be done overnight to avoid interruption with your business during the day.
